Getting started with Deal OS
Deal OS is a deal-operations workspace for search funds, independent sponsors, M&A advisors, and micro-PE teams. You add the companies you're evaluating ("opportunities"), upload their documents, and run AI diligence briefs whose every claim is cited and verified against your own files.
1. Sign in
Go to your workspace and sign in with your email and password. If your password is wrong you'll see:
Invalid email or password.
If you were invited to a workspace, use the link in your invite email to set your password first.
2. Try the sample deal
From your workspace home (/app), use Load sample deal to create a ready-made example opportunity with a document already attached. This is the fastest way to see a brief without uploading anything. The sample document is extracted automatically (usually under a minute).
3. Create your first opportunity
Go to Opportunities → create and enter at least a name (the target company). Industry and geography are optional. Each opportunity name must be unique within your workspace.
4. Upload a document
Open the opportunity and upload a file. Accepted types: PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, CSV, up to 50 MB. The page hint reads:
PDF, DOCX or text, up to 50 MB. Analysis usually takes under a minute.
The document moves through uploaded → extracting → extracted. You can run a brief once it shows extracted. See Uploading documents.
5. Run your first brief
On the opportunity, choose Run brief. The brief is generated in the background:
Your brief is being generated — usually 1–3 minutes. This page doesn't auto-refresh; check Briefs shortly.
Running briefs requires an active subscription or trial. If you don't have one yet you'll see:
An active subscription is required to run briefs — see /pricing or contact [email protected]
When it's done, the brief appears under Briefs with claims, page-level citations, and open questions. See Diligence briefs and findings.
