Frequently asked questions
What is Deal OS? A deal-operations workspace for search funds, independent sponsors, M&A advisors, and micro-PE teams. You add target companies, upload their documents, and run AI diligence briefs whose claims are cited and verified against your files.
What file types can I upload, and how big? PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, and CSV, up to 50 MB each. See Uploading documents.
How long does analysis take? Document extraction is usually under a minute; a brief usually takes 1–3 minutes.
Why was a claim left out of my brief? Claims whose quotes can't be verified against your documents are discarded automatically. Briefs only keep what's grounded in your files.
Does Deal OS tell me if a deal is good or what a company is worth? No. Deal OS provides diligence support, not advice. It doesn't value businesses, recommend whether to buy, or give investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Do I need a subscription to run briefs? Yes — an active subscription or trial. See Billing and plans.
What's included in my plan's AI usage? Each plan includes a monthly AI allowance ($50 / $250 / $750). Usage beyond it bills at 2× model cost, up to a hard monthly cap ($100 / $500 / $1,500) — once the cap is reached, new AI runs pause until your period resets, so there are no surprise bills. We alert you by email as you approach the allowance. The in-app support assistant does not count against your allowance or cap.
Can my whole team use one workspace? Yes — Starter up to 3 members, Growth up to 10, Scale unlimited. Workspace admins invite members in Settings → Team.
Is my data private? Yes. Workspaces are isolated, and the support assistant can't see your deal data. See Security, access & your data.
How do I export or delete my data? A workspace admin can request it in Settings → Privacy & data; our team fulfils verified requests within 30 days.
How do I get a human? Use the in-app assistant (it escalates anything it can't answer) or email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 1 business day (Starter), priority handling (Growth), same business day (Scale), Mon–Fri 9–5 EET.
